So i have alpine type S speakers in my car...are they entery level speakers in terms of quality? whats the diff between type S, X, and R?

The "S" series is entry level, it goes from "S" to "R" to "X" , with X being Alpine's top level.

Dozens of dealers on ebay, or Crutchfield if you want authorized.

But ebay is so much cheaper that you could buy a replacement set if the first blows and still save some money.
