Alpine SPR-57C: Yes/No

I've got a Mercury Cougar and I'm considering throwing 4 of these SPR-57C's in the interior. Any opinions or suggestions on my decision? I'm trying to keep everything in my car Alpine but I'm open to others if it's worth the deal.

Alpine is a great company. I have the Type R 6x9s. They get really loud and sound great. Best bang for your buck if you ask me. Though I am amping them and have never heard them running off of low power.

Those type-r's arent that great sounding.

you should go around to a couple different audio shops to compare what really out there to lisen to.

not amping a set og speakers that are meant to be amped doesnt make since to me.

You have on-hand experience of what Type-Rs speakers sound like amped?

OP: I'm running them with an Alpine MRP-F550.
