Alpine Rs VS. Infinity Perfects

Which is better? 2 alpine R 12"s or 2 Infinity Perfects? What will it take to power these? If i used the MTX8100D amp how many ohms do the subs need to be?

i have heard that the perfects blow easily if you overpower them. i would go with the R's

ive noticed alot of people saying that on here

youll prob get better sq from the infinitys just dont to high with the amp power

that mxt is a 500 watts amp you shouldnt have to worry about blowing either one of those brands.

I'd go with the Type R's. They will handle more power than the perfects. I think the MTX amp would probably blow the perfects.

i'm not sure which amp he was talking about but i don tthink 500 watts would blow a perfect unless it was defective.. I've blown several perfects but i still have two standing just fine and they have taken a lot of abuse from my mtx 81000d which is giving both of them close to 800 watts each.. I think the perfects will handle 500 watts rms but not much more without a lot of luck.. i th ink 500 watts rms would be a "perfect" number for the perfects, but it may be possible to blow them with that given a real low poweful and quick bass tone.. i've found those are the most damaging.
