hey guys ust got a alpine PDX1.1000 amp, its 1000w @ 2 and 4 ohm, what would sound better 2 4ohm type r 12" or 2 2ohm type r 12", or if its possiable to run 3 12" type r dual 4 ohm at 2.67 ohms, would that amp be stable there or be to hard running that much, id ust wonder if 2 ohm or 4 ohm wire hookup would sound different?

your choice. as long as the amp dose not see any lower then 2 ohm impedance.

i dont know if you are really gonna feel the difference but at 4ohm load you gonna have a higher damping factor wich means less disortion and cleaner sound. the sub is controlled better and when it hits it comes back quciker !
