Alpine PDX-5 Bridged w/ SPX-17PRO's.... need help

SO I am a total car audio noob. I had a basic setup in my Honda Civic:

Alpine SPR-17S in the front

Alpine SPR-69C in the rear

Alpine PDX-4x100 amp

Alpine CDA-9883 Head Unit

The Civic is being sold and the stereo is going with it, so I am starting over fresh. I just picked up an 07 Honda S2000 a few weeks ago, and the stereo is literally inaudible with the top down. So far I have picked up the following:

Custom footwell sub box w/ Memphis MR10S4

Kenwood KIV-BT900 Head Unit

PDX-5 amp

I have been planning on going with the Alpine SPX-17PRO for my component set. I was going to run the PDX-5 bridged so it would be putting out 150w to two channels.

My question is where should I set the gain for this component set if I run them passive? The RMS is 100w but I hear they need more power than Alpine leads on. I don't want to overpower the tweeters.

There is no "right" gain set, it is simply used to compensate for the input signal which can vary very widely. My way of setting is to set your headunit as loud as you think you'd ever turn it up and then set your gain to where it still sounds good. Then lower it a tad from there.
