Go with the alpines. They should win in every catagory with the other subs you just mentioned. The 42d is this years model, and the 41 is the older model.

As long as you have a decent amp to it, and the right box, then yea it should get pretty loud. They type rs are above the type s's. Get the 42d's as they are the new model, and handle more power.

http://www.etronics.com They dont have the dual 4 ohms available though. They only have the 1222D, which is the same sub, but different ohm loads. I suggest you get the subs first anyways.

what kind of amp would bump 2 of them good. i like bass. what are some nice amps and how much channel will i need and how many watt rms amp would i need

you would want to get an mono class d amp to push them, and it would be best to push them atleast to their llisted specs. A memphis 1000d would push them good, pg xenon 1200.1, ect.. their are a countless number of amps that would push it good. If your on a budget, then this amp will pound. I was amazed at how good it souned when I heard it.
