k im going to order the pg x600.1 amp from etronics.com they also sell subs there..so i mite consider picking up one if i dont find ne for a good price here in toronto...the two subs im tihnking about it..

the pg xenon subwoofer..or the alpine type r..

probably going for a 12"....

what would u guys go for if i had to get from etronics...

the reason im going through etronics is that theres some borderfree thing..so i wont pay for any hidden costs when it crosses the border..

Well since your getting the xenon amp why not keep it matched with the xenon sub. That amp was practicly made for the sub. If you want to know some of the differences then the alpine is stronger in the upper bass region then the xenon, and the xenon is stronger in the low end. Both good subs though.

i care bout sq mainly though but would like it to hit hard

They both have good sq. What i was saying was that the alpine is louder than the xenons at higer freqencys 40-50 and above hertz. And the xenon is louder at lower ones 20-40. I think the xenon sounds better, but im a little biased to pg anyways. Both subs will hit hard, so go with whichever one you can get the best price on.

You should buy the sub first, then find an amp to match its needs, not the other way around.
