alpine mrv-f407 problems

just bought this amp online on ebay "mrv-f407" alpine v12 4 channel. it's in good shape but the power light flashes red. the protection and music light is fine. i looked it up in the manual and it says that it means that's it's getting less than 10 volts. but i do have another amp hooked up and a 2 farat cap with a digital led that's about at 14 volts. anybody have any answers???

if it was the protection lighting flashing red, then you would have got a "RCA floating", what means you don't have the RCA's correctly connected to it, but in this case if you are sure you are feeding it appropriately my guess is that it has a problem internally?

have you tried connecting it to another power source? have you tried connecting the 12+ of your battery directly to the remote in of the amplifier? maybe it has a protection for less than 10v remote from the hu, i dont know... worth a try maybe...

if you manage to get it working, plz share your opinions about it... you are being the first person im talking to who has or has had one...
