Alpine MRP-M1000 or Hertz EP1D 1000W amp?

I have the below Alpine box setup along with an Alpine MRP-M1000 amp, and was wondering if the Hertz EP1D 1000W mono amp might be better (quality on par with Alpine or better?)? The main thing I like about the EP1D is the Remote Bass Controller option. I had one on my old PG Tantrum amp and used it quite often. thx

90 percent of people that read this thread will tell you to buy the Hertz because they are made better. About 1 percent actually own the amp and none of them have any idea how to judge the quality of an amplifier. 1kw is 1kw whether it's Alpine or Power Acoustik. The Hertz *should* be the better amp but I'm not sure. If your alpine is working fine, then don't worry about it.

Thx. Nothing is actually hooked up yet. The box is just sitting there at present (had to remove the rear seats to get it in).

I guess I am 1 percent that has owned both. None of the alpine amps have impressed me including the PDX line besides the footprint. I would definitely go with the Hertz amp if you have a choice between the two.

I dont think u would hear any audiable diffrence between those two amps. Thos R types are muddy woofers, made for noise,so if u give them 1000 rms they will do their thing and u will not know the diffrence.

On the other hand i think 1000 rms is to little for them. I would go with 1.5kw for those 2.. Maybe even 2000.

Playing R types with rated power is just not playing smart.

I moved on from the hertz line of amps but they are VERY stout. I mean side by side comparison will always tell you something and the output is completely different between ANY alpine amp vs. any comparable amp I've tested next to it. I'm just not a big Alpine amp fan after all I've seen.

I own the M1000 and its a badass amp. Is the hertz also 18v capable? The hertz is rated for less power at 2 ohms, and also rated at 14.4v. Alpine will very easily outperform the hertz running at 2 ohms, however its not 1 ohm stable.

I've always wanted to try one out. I can't seem to get over my US amps though haha.
