alpine mrd-m500 - searched - gain settings

hey jsut wondering how i should set my gains. it seems like no matter what i do, my sub doesnt even distort...lol

i have an alpine type r dvc 4 ohm 2005 model hooked up to it. what shoudl i set my gains and parametric eq to? what about the rest of the crap? i have subsonic filter at 15hz. its in a 2.15 cu ported box and sounds great but i want to make sure its tuned correctly. it seems to not suffer at all with the headunit at -2 bass, 10db para eq (out of 12db), and 0db input (out of -24 to 0).
