Alpine MP3 player - which?

Well, the deal is I want an Alpine HU that plays MP3.

So, the 7878 has been discontinued (so I heard) and it might become cheaper. But on the other hand Alpine has a new line coming out.

Should I get the 7878 or wait for their new 2002 line with maybe improved MP3 functionality??

I got a alpine 7977...great deck...the model just below the 7878...my advice is to wait until this years models are out...they support mp3 for as low as 350$..hope that helps...
