alpine iva-w205 disc error plays everything but dvds burned and store bought

i have the tr7 hooked up and programmed ( i think )....because the menus show up on the deck when its hooked up and are no accessible when its not wired up.....

i tried a disc cleaner its just get to the track its supposed to clean with and throws a disc error as it would with dvds

what could be the problem has any one else experience this?

if the laser has failed what would i be looking at to get it fixed?
