ALPINE IDA x300 wont play music though the speakers with Ipod

My friend is installing a ida x300 in his tahoe.The speaker work when the tuner is on but when you switch it to ipod it only plays though the subs. anyone know what is up with that? the ipod cable has been disconected and reconected, still nothing

This question gets asked atleast twice a week in this forum. It should be stickied I swear.

What you did is accidently connected your factory amp turn on wire to your decks power antenna wire.

Connect the blue/white wire on your deck to the blue wire on your cars harness and you'll be all set.

ummm....there is no factory amp. And the speakers work only with the radio tuner. When you turn it to ipod then it only plays through the subs. If you would have read my full post....
