alpine ida-100 or ida-x001 which one is better i cant tell

lol yea u said it was an x 100 for 165 then u were like no its 300 so i said if u sell it for 165 then ill take it lol see where im coming from.? and no way do i want an 300 they are waste of money

The main differences between the x001 and x100

The x100 has a back button (very useful, goes back into same playlist/album/artist w/o starting the whole search again)

The x100's search and enter button are the same (Huge annoyance on the 001)

The x100 has a fully rotating knob and when you push it in you can skip by 10% each slight turn (or by letter)

The x100 has only 2V pre outs and the x001 has 4V (gay)

Those are the ones that I cared about...and why I waited to get the 100

The x001 has a back button.

I prefer the set of 6 buttons on the left rather than the one that the x100 has...though that is a bit of a cleaner look.

The volume control knob on the x001 is a bit of a pain in the *** but not worth getting upset over.

Honestly I bought the x001 for its non-cd use, I use a usb drive, and ipod use without need for additional hardware and the cool ability to show a picture in the display. After nearly a year of use I seldom pay attention to the display lol. Otherwise I like the x001 quite a bit.

If I had a wish I would prefer a head unit that did not have a built in amp and use the room to improve sq and tunability hardware.
