Alpine H701, how does this thing work?

It looks to me like the Alpine H701 requires a seperate control unit to access all of its features, even if you have a seperate display and an Alpine head unit already installed in your car. Is this correct?

There is no way I can get an Alpine Ai-NET compadable HU to fully control the H701 even if I had a seperate display? Right?

Most any newer IVA series deck can control it.

I have no use for the IVA decks, I need a touchscreen monitor to control my car-puter.

You'll need the RUX-C701 to control the PXA-H701 if your Alpine HU doesn't already control it. An external display doesn't do you any good. What model HU do you have?
