I'm not sure how it was hooked up, as I didnt install it. How would i go about bypassing the HK amp? Keep in mind i dont have a 3rd party amp. will i have to buy one to solve this problem?

Either find the amp, find out what wires are for what speakers on the input and output of the amp and just unplug them from the amp and crimp them together. Or you could just run new wires to each speaker from the deck itself

Turning the Power IC off disabled the internal HU amp. So it looks like now you need to leave that on and bypass the factory amps as stated above. I thought maybe if you couldn't bypass the factory amps you could shut down the HU amp but apparently that didn't work.
