Alpine CDA-9853R doesnt require any preamp or EQ?

1) the installer said that i wont need any pre-amp or EQ if i'm going to use the 9853... is this true? gonna use Diamond HEX for the speaker...

2) is it ok to run a 300x2 amp for the HEX or should i just go for a 400x2 amp?

If im reading this right... your head unit IS the pre-amp.

Thats what sends the signal to your amplifiers.

I don't know too much about thoes speakers but on the website the set with the highest rating shows they require 150RMS and max out at 300.

im not an expert but it seems like 300wRMS per set is going to kill them.

err... i mean... the HU wont be needing any 5 band or any 7 band equalizer... is it?

the 9853 comes has a 5-band parametric equalizer.

if you want more control you would have to get some type of external unit.

7band G-EQ or 5band P-EQ
