Alpine CDA-9853 or 9855??

Which one should I get? I am interested in one. I like alpine's blueish colors. Is this 2005 models? I see the 9853 for $350 at bestbuy.com. The only thing that made me look at the 9855 because the screen doesnt have the block letters, it looks much clearer displaying song name and so on. You know what I mean. Not the dotted letters.

u can change the colors on the 9855...to like any color you want, under its settings, blue is all on 9853, im looking to get rid of my 9853 and upgrade to the 55 or a newer 06' alpine deck.

Have you seen the '06 head unit models on the website? You would have to get their highest model just to get time correction(DVA-9965), and from what I can see it doesn't come with a graphic or parametric eq.

A used 9835 would be a better choice, IMO...

To answer the first posters question, the only difference between the 53 and 55 are the 4v preouts vs 2v on the 53, better display, and the ability to change the button colors. So you could save yourself a bit of money if the above features do not matter to you.
