Alpine CDA-9851 Vs. Pioneer DEH-P6700MP

Which one is a superior unit? I am seeing that the pioneer has 22watt rms and the alpine has 18watt rms. I asked a buddy why not get the cheaper pioneer one because it has 22 watt rms and he said the alpine will still still out-perform the pioneer, is this true? Is this one of those cases like with amps where you get a cheap 1000watt one and a really good like 500-800watt amp and it easily out-performs the 1000 one. I will be ording this on ebay so the alpine will only be costing about $220 compared to the $280 price tag at best buy. Or another pioneer unit that can be found for the same amount on ebay. Buy the Pioneer Premier DEH-P670MP. It is better then the 9851, I strongly dislike the 9851 myself. The 670 should do you just fine, and you'll enjoy the better display and lack of a motorized faceplate which would just break on you anyways.

Just got the 9851 from best buy and had them install it. Its nice, a BIG step up from my old sony. I would recomend it anyday.

I went up to best buy today and listend to it hooked up to some SPS-170A's and sounded pretty good. How does the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589 compare to it?
