Alpine CDA-9831 VS. CDA-9851

[Alpine2005 10+ year member]

I can get both of these for $212 each

The CDA-9831 is used but in new condition and missing the remote control.

The CDA-9851 is brand new

Can the the buttons on the 9851 be color changed like the 9831 and also can the display be black out on the 9851?

i dunno i would go with the 9851 if its used im always a little skeptical about buying used and ive heard the 9851 is a great HU

I would buy the 9851. It's a great deck and I would take it new over a 9831 used, as I have seen roughly 4 out of a batch of 30 9831's go bad. The only loss is the 4v preouts.
