Alpine CDA-9815 vs. Eclipse CD5000/CD7000

i have a little bit of a dilemma right now. my 9815 started acting up on me a little while ago and its going to cost $85 to look at and see whats wrong with it. i really like this head unit but i dont know how much its going to cost to get it fixed. ive been looking at the cd5000 and heard that they are pretty good too.

so basically what i was wondering if you guys think it would be worth it to get the alpine fixed or buy a cd5000 or cd7000....are the eclipses better than the alpine? im mainly looking for sound quality...so whatever hu out of those 3 that has the best sq i would probably get...or maybe if someone has a suggestion on another head unit....thanks

eclipse is better than alpine imo, having used both, i still went back to eclipse i also got a 7000 for sale cheap

My old Alpine 7892 i liked better than any eclipse or pioneer deck ive used. It was my baby. Ive played with some of the newer alpines and i dont care for them much. Not near as good as the older ones imo. Sooo i switched to eclipse and so far its been good. So my vote is eclipse.

if you know what it is doing wrong,maybe the transport you could order the transport from Pacific Parts for about 85.00 dollars and fix it yourself, I personally would kepp the 9815 I have one and I like it very much.

i love mine...but i would get a cd7000 looking back on it. not that the 5k isn't better then the alpine the 7k is just that much better then the 5k...imo

If I were you, I'd try and find an 8443 or 8053....best decks money can buy IMO. The older Eclipse's >>>> newer Eclipse's

For the money, unless you are going to use all of the additional features, I like the looks and the features of the CD5000 more.

The CD5000 will not give you the tuning options that the CDA-9815 has. If my choices were between the CD5000 and the CDA-9815, I would get the Alpine fixed. The CD7000 has nice tuning options like the Alpine.
