Alpine CDA-7995, what is the equivalent now?

Over a year ago I had my heart set on an Alpine CDA-7995, because it didn't have the built-in amp and it also had other nice features (can't remember any specific ones right now). Would it still be a good purchase if I could find a new or fairly new one off ebay or should I get Alpine's updated model? If so, what is their updated model number for the CDA-7995?

The CDA-9831, 9833 and 9835, Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP and Eclipse 8443, 8053 and 8454 all are comparable and/or better

i used the have the 7995 before my 8053, it was a great deck i loved it, only thing it lacked was the EQ, i say either of the new cda-9833 or 9835 would be just as good or bettrer than it, but i dont believe they came out with an equivilent to it.

closest thing to it is the 9833/35. They do have internal amps, but you can shut them off.

how about the xl face 7998

i had the 7897 and that had an amp and the 7998 didnt
