Looking for Alpine
price depending on quality....
normal wear N' tear - good quality, don't necessarily need L/NIB.What is your budget for LNIB - Exc ?Looking for anything besides just the HU ?
A few years... They can both run active but I like the sound of the older units better...Do you know the difference between the 9887 and the 9855? I cant find a solid answer.
The 9855 has the glide touch as well... 160+ shipPrice? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
You can get an extra unit for USB like every other damn thing for Alpine but you just need the 10 dollar Ai net plug for a AUX...I am also in need of USB/Ipod support does it have it?
The 9887 basically has all the "old" stuff the 9855 had, minus that glide-touch BS, and plus the premium Burr-Brown 24 bit DAC; 6 channel digital TA to help compensate for poor speaker placement; 7-band EQ, switchable to 5-band parametric mode for addressing specific freqs; and IMPRINT to let you add an optional sound tuning kit (KTX-100EQ) that measures the acoustics of your vehicle's interior, then feeds that information to the HU for best imaging.Do you know the difference between the 9887 and the 9855? Ill disagree there but thats just meThe 9887 basically has all the "old" stuff the 9855 had, minus that glide-touch BS, and plus the premium Burr-Brown 24 bit DAC; 6 channel digital TA to help compensate for poor speaker placement; 7-band EQ, switchable to 5-band parametric mode for addressing specific freqs; and IMPRINT to let you add an optional sound tuning kit (KTX-100EQ) that measures the acoustics of your vehicle's interior, then feeds that information to the HU for best imaging.
Also, the 9887 is compatible with nearly all iPods, including Classic+Gen5+Gen4; Nano 1 thru 5; Touch 1 thru 3; and Minis.
In short, it is basically agreed that the 9887 is the best sounding receiver available from Alpine...and that is saying something.
