Alpine 9887 Install Question

So I just received my CDA-9887 and am really excited to get it installed and running.

Currently, I have Polk MM6501 comp sets in the front and M651 coax sets in the back... no subs yet.

Which EQ setting do I want to be using? All of the active EQ stuff is a little confusing to me at first, and googling didn't help much.

Anyone have some recommendations or walkthroughs for getting it all set up correctly?(OTHER than IMPRINT setup, which I'll work on later)

Everyone on here is going to tell you it's all personal preference... Depends on what sounds best to you and what your speakers can handle.

Suggestion: HPF = 80hz (in order to protect your speakers from playing notes they shouldn't)

So short of using the IMPRINT, it will take a lot of tinkering between crossover settings?

Is there a dumb down version of the difference between the 3 WAY and F/R/Sub-W? I've read from a couple different sources, but still can't place my finger on it exactly.

Really... ANY recommendations or even personal preferences would help... they could get me on the right track at least.

I just got mine installed on my shelf a few days ago. Your best bet bro is (considering you dont have a huge user preference like most audio heads) is to look at the range of your drivers in the specs of your manual that came with the drivers and set it at those settings. Hope it helps man!
