Alpine 9887 and Sirius Question

So I know that you need the KCA-SC100 to get Sirius to interface with the deck, but is that it? It seems as though I need an antenna at least as well, and I don't see that in the kit.

I'm sure I'm just missing one piece of the puzzle... any help please?

If it doesn't include one then yes, you will need to buy and run an antenna

So that unit is all I need then? There's no "OTHER" Sirius tuner? Just get that and subscribe to Sirius?

Nevermind. This page at Crutchfield lists the extra component needed.

This particular module isn't the actual receiver, it's just a component to help the deck receive the signal easier and makes it easier to use.

Hope you have better luck then I did. There are issues with this unit and Sirius. I started getting constant lockups with my headunit. Went and talked to my local shop who said yeah there are a lot of ppl complaining about that. Good job Alpine! Why did I ever ditch my 9835 ill never understand.

I heard the same thing unfortunately. I read somewhere about a software update, but not sure to what. I haven't called Alpine on it yet.
