Alpine 9885 no sound

Hey, my buddy gave me his alpine 9885 for a few bucks recently and i tried hooking it all up tonight. After plugging it all in there was no sound from the speakers, i know everything was hooked up but i cant figure out why there isnt sound. My friends pervious setup was with amped door speakers and a separate amp for a sub, i just am running the head unit to amp the speakers. Ill answer any question i can to help verify my problem, any help would be amazing, thanks.
