Alpine 9857 + iPod troubles

So I have an alpine 9857, and my system works fine. I have a JL audio 12" w7 in the trunk.

But I haven't used my iPod in a while, and now when I do, the front left speaker does not send any sound out. It used to work, and now it just does not.

Has anyone had this problem or have any suggestions on what I could do?
