9857 has biolite display and includes remote.

You can get a 9857 from crutchfield for 350 with the installation kit for your car plus the direct connect ipod cable. I got a 9857 from them and I've been pretty happy with it so far. The only difference besides the screen and remote is the 9857 interfaces with an ipod faster. It's definately debateable if thats even true. A couple of people on crutchfield said they weren't too happy with their 9856s because of ipod lag but when they upgraded to 9857s it worked fine and much faster with ipods. I think they'd probably be exactly the same though. If you don't use an ipod in your car I wouldn't even think twice about it, I'd just get the 9856 and save your money. I got the 9857 over the 9856 bascially just because of the screen.

For the extra 129 you get a display. No EQ, crossovers, time alignment, anything you usually get at that pricepoint. For the same price the p880prs from Pioneer will beat the 9857 UFC style.

i only wish my biolite was colour or that cool blue u see on some decks

You can get a much better looking deck for the same price or a little more. In keeping with Alpine's downfall, the biolite isn't as good as it once was.
