alright... well i went out and bought one of these (didn't like any pioneer's or clarion... and i couldnt find an eclipse dealer around me)

anyways... got it all installed... radio works... sub works.... mp3 player doesnt play through it (i bought the adapter for stereo connections) and also... the cd player doesn't play.... the little bar at the bottom of the screen (that shows that music is being played) moves.... but no sound..... yet the radio works fine.... any ideas?

What do you mean the mp3 player won't work through the aux in? Will it play but no sound or can you not get the mp3 player to be acknowledged as being connected?

FYI, in case the deck is broken and you want to check out eclipse............

the mp3 player is a stand alone.... meaning... i use the mp3 player to change the song etc.... would be the same as attaching a portable dvd player to it and trying to get sound through it

the same with the cd.... i put cd in... read's it etc... but no sound coming out of it.... it just boggles me cause the radio does put sound to the speakers... but the cd doesnt... nor the aux in

and i looked for that place... no luck... and the place i bought this deck from is a all sales final type of deal...

Well, if it is an authorized alpine dealer, all sales shouldn't be final if the deck doesn't work.

read this post....it might solve your problem with no sound???

I thought it might solve that problem. It is a common issue(so common that Murph, one of my fellow mods on SD) stickied it in the head unit forum there).
