I have a D3x package and I love mine... I really like that it has pretty much everything. NAV, Bluetooth, DVD, iPod, etc.

I had an alpine CDA-9851 before this and it was a good head unit but the iPod controls annoyed me. It was an older unit though and did not have the full speed connection or anything like that. I much prefer the iPod controls of the D3.

For SQ, the 9835 wins hands down. But if you are wanting more of a Nav/Video setup, I guess go with the D3. Kind of a weird comparison.
