I couldn't think of a reason either. Current draw from just the head unit itself, internal amp defeated, is nowhere near enough to warrant a 10ga wire. Oh well.

A friend of mine has his 7995 hooked up through a 3 amp fuse, so I'm going to say with the amp off it doesn't draw more than 3 amps.
