yea i agree, some do look like crap. but the new MAX685BT looks badass IMO. i wanted to get it before i found out it only had 2V preouts. i know its not the biggest deal in the world but im not sure if i want it anymoreI think my clarion is okay looks-wise, but it completely contrasts my dash, since it's aluminum and my dash is black plastic. The 775USB, though, looks like a turd from a robot.
nakamichi ftwPioneer FTL- their head units have that nasty ground problem.Eclipse FTL- CD problems
Alpine FTL - Units gone to crap
Kenwood FTL - History of being unreliable.
Clarion FTL - Their head units are ugly as sin.
Pick your poison.

i'd wanna fuck around with a DenonI know.....but i heard of their sound quality and know nothing about their build quality
only difference would be the gain on your amp would be up higher. But that's about itin all honesty, how much of a difference would it be having a HU with 2V pre's compared to a HU with 4+ preouts?
Yes.so by setting the gains higher to compensate for the difference, the 2V will have the same SQ as a 4V?
I loved my Denon built RFX-8240i'd wanna fuck around with a Denon
