Hey guys, first I wanted to say that this is a great forum and has been very informitive while I was building my system.

My question is: Why does everyone dislike Alphasonik? I have an Alphasonik 12" Mayhem and I love it. I bought it after I caught my PPI DCX 122 on fire two days after running it and it pounds twice as hard and sounds better.

My set up is:

Pioneer DEH-P880 head unit

Hifonics Brutus 1606

Alphasonik 12" Mayhem 900 series sub

Line driver 8 volt

soon to be components

I know that I'm new and I don't want to step on anybodies toes. I agree with 90% of everything that I've read on this forum. Anyway, thanks.

one of my friends run Alphasonik, and I must say I'm very impressed with their amps...

Quality pieces of equipment...

So I guess don't knock it until you try it...and remember quality sound is not only based on equipment but a good install...

if this means anything to anyone i guy here a while back had a pair of 800 15s with about 2kw per and they definitely weren't audiobahn-ish in anyway. kick *** woofers from what i have experienced...

Alot of the old school Alphasonik amps were Zed made...

that should speak for their quality...

The 800 series 5.25 comps sounded awesome and took the 200 watts as stated. I just decided to give active a try or I'd still have em. The 200 series 8's I had weren't all bad either.

Thanks guys... I was just wondering...I had this sub in a 1.101 cf box and it sounded great, but now I'm making a 2.885 cf ported box and I'm going to drop it down to 1 ohm so that should put my amp @ 1600 WATTS... So I will let you all know how that turns out....
