Alpha Damp or Damp Pro?

I am running 4 OA 15s and gonna be giving them between 2400 to 3000 watts (depending on how well they handle the power). I am expecting at least a 150db out of them (I know when playing music it varies but I'm saying it's capable of 150db). I need to deaden my roof. I am wondering if I should do 2 layers of Damp Pro or if one layer of Alpha Damp will work just as well. My roof is about 30sq ft and right now I have about 30 sq ft of damp pro so I'd only need to buy another pack of the damp pro b stock which is 36 sq ft for 120$ plus shipping. The Damp Pro is only 20 sq ft for 150$ plus shipping so to do a full layer on my roof I'd need to spend 300$.

So my question is is 1 layer of Alpha Damp = 2 layers of Damp Pro?

There should be crossbraces on your roof already, before adding deadener, make sure you add some metal epoxy, spray foam or jb weld the brace so it stuck tight onto your roof, should help a lot with the flex.

Second, here's a trick to do with your deadener for some artificial crossbraces.

I'd still advise you to do some plywood bracing for future proofing purposes.

Yeah I'm gonna spray foam everything. I'm just gonna do deadening at first and if it still flexes I will do cross bracing. Still wanna know how alpha damp compared to the damp pro.

all do the same ****, get the best deal.

40 square feet for 150 dollars, not bad for strength comparable to second skin pro. No brainer choice here.

Don't like doing that because I hate paying it back lol. Imma just get some damp pro. I can't order it until the 19th tho *crying face with swollen nose and an overbite*.

its a lot cheaper if you do man, its just a product front, you have money later just pay it full then but get the discount now.

Full retail aint a joke with these luxury deadeners. Cost is ridiculous for metal/rubber stickers for your car.

another option in the future is to buy B-stock 30 square feet packs of damp pro for 120 and use a heat gun for installation and it'll be just as good as A-stock.

The b stock worked fine for my back wall it stuck really good so I'm never buying a stock lol it just isn't worth it to me. Alpha damp is getting mixed reviews like I've seen a vid where a guy has 12 15s and he put one layer of alpha damp on his roof and it worked great but then I saw a video where a guy with two 18s saw almost no benefit.
