It's called cancellation. Get rid of the 12 or the 10's, don't get both. It's canceling out some of the sound.

edit: Or you can double the output of your amp by switching out the + and - wires into the amp.

OP, I'll be honest, your subs are shit. I see 2 Ultra Linear 10s in a box for 77 bux. There can't be much win in them at that price. You might just be getting about all they can give. What amp are you pushing the subs with?
