find where the carpet angles somewhere and wedge it in? usually makes it a bit less conspicuous.

^_^ I had fun with this, too. I have a '98 Mustang... it was a regular b*tch to get it into the stock hole that runs back to the trunk... Oh god. Worked for hours to get it back. Then just hid it under my carpet.

But if you're really big into hiding it, I've seen people take their center console/seats out + carpet and hide it there.
