Almost died unhooking amp the other day

Well as the story goes I was unhooking my amp from my grounds wires. I finished unhooking the amp and was about to close up the seat and go back in my house. I remembered I forgot my screwdriver, so I looked for it and found it. I reach over to grab it next thing I know I see a spark and go oh ****. The ground wires touched my arm and made a huge spark. It hurt like **** The next day my arm was slightly numb but I am now fine.

It smelled mainly like burnt hair but from what I know it would have completed a circuit when the electric flow passes from my arm to the metal

Your body is an insulator. It would take a much higher voltage to make current pass from one arm to another.

Yeah amps are what will stop your heart but it takes a high enough voltage to push the current through your body which is an insulator.
