Well here it is, after a couple hours of work I just have to make the top for it and bring it inside so the glue can fully set. Let me know what you think, this is my first vented box. Yeah, with the top on it will only be 12.8125 tall, but thats all I can have for it to fit in my trunk. I had to remove the carpet for it to slide in, I cut this sucker way to close lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif .My trunks 16 inches tall and I the sub is firing up. The only thing I am worrying about at this point is if the sub will be too close to the bottom. Mounting depth is 9.5 but after the sub is flush mounted it will only have a little over 1 inch under it. Its only 38 wide, and its for an 18 SX.

well do u have the factory premium stereo? kuz that amp is mounted in the trunk along with the keyless entry box in that black rack that hangs from the rear deck. if u rip that out or hammer it out like i did. it will give u like almost 16 i believe not for sure i havent measured in abit. but u do have to worry about those stupid bars for the tunk lid. which i am removing come spring and adding stronger shock apsorbers(or whatever they are) i have one i installed from a mustang on there to help hold the trunk open kuz of the added weight of the sound deadening. so if ur worryed about the mounting depth just build a flush mount and space it up 1.5 and kitty hair it in as a smooth contour. good luck and it looks good

No I don't have the premium stereo in it. I've got close to 17 inches of height in the back, just with the box being so long it's impossible to get it in once its made. With it being an 18 that I am using the other problem was that it can only fire up or at a mean *** angle because 17 inches tall is not quite enough for an 18 inch sub lol. I'm going to mess around with angles and stuff after I complete this box and I will make another one that fits a lot better. This one is just a trial, just to make a vented box and get used to all of the new equipment. Later on is when I can tweak it all out and make it how I wan't it.
