i have some of the worst seasonal allergies of anyone you probably ever met. im to the point now where no OTC or Rx med will work. steroid packs also dont work anymore. the only option left is to get tested for specific allergies and get a shot for each allergin (which theres probably hundreds). i read an article in mens health (i think it was) about mega doses of sublingual/IM B12 helping allergies, so i decided to try it. normally my allergies start in february, but i was allergy free up until 2 weeks ago with the B12. i got sick and ever since then ive had moderate allergies. but today, at 6am, i got hit HARD with allergy symptoms. it was out of nowhere and like a brick wall. i cant even function, i just failed my dynamics final miserably. my nose is nearly bleeding from blowing it so much. is there ANYTHING i can take or do to help my allergies? so far today ive taken 2 Zyrtec, 1 Clariton, 4 Benadryl, Rx nasal spray, and my B12.

Same here bro, I've been on every medication the market has to offer. Prescription nasal spray works the best.

I have some amazing allergy medicine. they started flaring up last week, felt like I had a fever, itchy eyes, runny nose...everything. Finally started taking these pills and feel as good as can be. I still have a slight runny nose in the mornings but it's not bad.
The stuff is called xyzal
never heard of it. is it new? Rx or OTC?

only allergy i have that i know of is cats, and it's bad enough that i have to carry an epipen around because i have gone into shock from being around cats...

dude i'm the same way, you need to see an allergy doctor and he'll cook up a batch of meds to meet your specific needs. I get a shot once a month and take Allerx daily. I also have 2 nasal sprays one caled Rhinocort and i can't think of the other one but they work wonders. I had an allegy thread while back that described what i went through

Just a heads up - Those don't help (except benadryl) if the reaction has already started. You need to take those before an allergic reation (like immediately in the morning) for them to work. I'm a Zyrtec user myself. I thought that none of those medicines did anything for me because I was always taking them IF I got an allergic reaction (and they normally are 2 day things for me. Day 1-Feel like crap. Day 2-recovery, still pretty bad) until an allergy specialist told me to make sure to take it everyday in the morning because once the allergic reaction starts, the hitimines have expanded and anti-hitimines don't work anymore.
