nice, wish i could afford an hd-dvd or blu ray player, or knew anyone who could afford it so i could see how good it actually is

Ps3 is actually cheap (as far as blu-ray goes) route for blu-ray...or the HD-dvd ADD ON if you already have the 360....

As of now though, I am pretty sure there are ALOT more blu-ray titles than HD dvd..it could be hear-say but I read it somewhere...either way, I am happy with blu-ray and I'm sure others are happy with HD

Very smart idea!!! If I had the 360 instead of the PS3, I'd definitly go for HD DVD...I just stick with blu-ray for convienance....both are new technologies and we'll know the winner of the debate in a year or two.

I wish we could get an HDtv but they are so darn expensive, just to watch TV. I was at my uncles house who has a HD plasma and we were watching football o it and it perfect, like being there in the stadium.

their is more hd-dvd titles available right now...

and their is suppose to be a dual format player from goldstar but it might not even come out due to issues with it not playing hd-dvds advance features....

also their will be a $200 stand alone player second quarter this year a chinease one that was annonced like a week ago. blu ray only announced their cheapest wich was $799

Pioneer Elite ftmfw. At least as far as plasmas are concerned.

True that mang.... But Hitachi is in the same "club" group as Pioneer and I'm pretty sure that TV is very similar to the "standard" Pioneer TV's. SO, it looks great I'm sure....

1080p is where it's at on Blu-Ray!! You think HD tv looks good, check out Blu-ray!!!
Only have 3 movies so far (X-Men 3, Four Brothers and Talladega Nights_ but I am picking up Gridiron Gang tomorrow and Beer Fest next week....DVD looks so bad to me now even though it's not at all....

What we need is for ALL the networks to broadcast in HD and in 16.9 format. I am so tired of the stations going back and forth between 4.3 and 16.9. Whats even better is when the broadcast in 4.3 format and then in that format show a widescreen. Makes my 42" like 19", lol
