all ALPINE system ridiculously low powered speakers (not sub)

I have all Alpine everything in my 350z just had it professionally installed. all components were new in box save for a slightly used CDA-9855. Amp is PDX-5 channel Alpine amp. The sub runs fantastic. But even if I turn the unit to the max volume, my type R 6x9s and front speakers are literally WEAKER than a stock tape deck with No amp. I've tried crossover, equalizer and center/rear balance through the head unit. All wires securely installed. HU is a CDA-9855. Is there someway to just...boost the power to theese speakers? like...a gain control or something?

Maybe you're expecting too much, bro.

Are your door speakers components or coaxials? Do your doors have sound deadener? Are you sure the gains on the amplifier are tuned properly?

He's using the 5 channel PDX. Surely the amp is powering the door speakers.

The PDX-5 is rated for 75 x4 + 300 x1 btw...

75 watts a channel should definitely be loud enough IMO. I was running 35rms to my ID CX2s and TW24s and they kept up with my 500rms IDmax in a box tuned to 30hz. I was running active so im sure that has a tiny bit to do with it, but look at the gains on the amp. That is pretty much the only way to get the door speakers louder besides upgrading amps, deadening and sealing the doors, etc.

the amp should be just fine.. what type of front speakers do you have, type r comps? they arent bad at all if thats what you have.. maybe the gains on the highs are not turned up enough!!

Maybe the speakers polarity are backwards. happened to me before. try switching up the negative and postive and see if that makes a difference .

thanks for the resonces. To clarify, the speakers are quieter than with my STOCK system, which had no external amplifer at all. I would like help on how to turn up the gain on my amplifer, It is installed behind a plexiglass window, and from where I look at it, I dont see any external knobs or buttons, How exactly do you just turn up the power going out each channel of a aplifier like mine. I dont even need all 75x4 channels, 50x4 would be enough, but what I have now isnt even flexing the cone of the 6x9's

Take it back to the shop, something is wrong and they need to fix it.

on page 26 of this manual Alpine CDA-9855 CD Player Manual it details how to set up the levels to each channel. when I hold down menu for 2 seconds like it says....there is NO a-link button. how the hell do you adjust the levels on an alpine PDX-5?!
