congrats...I just did a line of coke.
I could not control it..I was at a point where i would down a bottle of bacardi in under an hour and literally not be drunk at all, and i drank like this for so long that my white blood cell count was extremely low. Had i kept going the way I was, well...I would not be posting this.I don't understand this, did you guys have to quit because you couldn't control it, or did you just quit and chalk it up to "maturing"?
Could not control it. It controlled me. When I drank I was a whole different human being. My complete opposite. A person I hated in the morning, or the next day if I drank into the morning. I've lost more than I'll ever see again in my life, and I mean more than money. Much more.I don't understand this, did you guys have to quit because you couldn't control it, or did you just quit and chalk it up to "maturing"?

Lol, I love how this thread is turning out despite it's beginning. And I actually used audio as my "outlet" to distract me from liquor for awhile. Worked for 5 months. Then I stumbled recently, pretty badly. Glad I found the program.that's cool to see so many bass heads aka recovering alcklies

I slowly watched all I had worked for become meaningless. I graduated high school when I was 14 and went to college and started teaching an advanced mathematics class and really got into the college thing. I started partying all the time, I never slept, I wanted to experience everything. Alcohol was the limiting factor in everything I ever did. After I graduated college at 20(with 3 degrees)I opened a hotel shuttle service operating out of a strip club. I made More than enough money to supply all the alcohol and drugs I needed, then I sold the business and traveled the country recording stage acts and recording bands and watnot. Always drugs, always woman, alway a way to get into trouble.I don't understand this, did you guys have to quit because you couldn't control it, or did you just quit and chalk it up to "maturing"?
Thanks! I hope you can say the same thing one day too. It's more than possible, if you really want it.Congrats to both of you. I look forward to being in your place some day.
