I don't typically think hunting is cruel, but this is ****ed up. Use a weapon that can kill the animal quickly.

Shooting a half ton pig with a .50 cal, even a SW500, is like shooting a deer with a .22, it is cruel. I can just picture a bunch of rednecks standing around (apparently with "high powered rifles") while this 11 year old tortured the **** thing for 3 hours before killing it, just so he could use the revolver.

Shoot it with a .375 H&H or even a .300 win mag or .30-06 and get it over with.

even if you used a bolt action .308 i dont think it would matter much... atleast the .50 would make a big ole hole + tear up the insides a little
