But there is a pretty large difference between the ash and smoke that comes from burning trees, and the smoke that comes from burning oil and tires. One has chemicals that have a very long half-life and which stays with our earth, have you ever been around someone burning tires? Its fcking godawful to be around.it was more of a question actually...
we have an affect yes, but it's miniscule compared to all the natural occurings... eg: forest fires and volcanic eruptions...
science has shown that the earth has been having warm times and cold times in it's history before we could affect it. It is a natural occurence.
the things that were injected in the air from eruptions go straight to the stratosphere unlinke cars... the pollution from cars falls to the earth.
read some scientific reports on it that unbiased... the only ones that show up in the news are the ones that make people think that they are the number 1 reason for global warming.
in fact I knew a professor at OU that did a study that pointed to how the climate on earth gets warm and cold all the time... when a reporter interviewed him the reporter said that he wouldn't do the story due to the fact that the he wouldn't say that global warming was a man made occurrence.
I hatte people who talk about wanting to save our enviroment and drive around in huge suv's. Go away you hypocrite. But there is a pretty large difference between the ash and smoke that comes from burning trees, and the smoke that comes from burning oil and tires. And no, im not a tree hugger nor do i EVER watch the news, its nothing more then a biased representation. No, i come up with my own conclusions, thanks though.
And im far from saying that us everyday citizens are making up the majority of the smoke, in all honesty i blame the large corporations that allow smoke to billow out and spew tons of smoke everyday, those are the companies i want to see action taken upon. So how does that effect us? I havent paid a single dollar towards this but that doesnt mean i cant have an opinion and be thankful that maybe we are going to pullute less, how can that be a bad thing.
Go look at a large metropolitan area and see the smog in the morning, how can that ever be good for use to breathe and be in our air? Dont you guys WANT that stuff to be gone?

Since Mount St. Helens started erupting in early October, it has been pumping out between 50 and 250 tons a day of sulfur dioxide, the lung-stinging gas that causes acid rain and contributes to haze.
Whereas volcanic pollution of the lower atmosphere is removed within days by the effects of rainfall and gravity, stratospheric pollution may remain there for several years, gradually spreading to cover much of the globe.

Compared to man-made sources, though, volcanoes' contribution to climate change is minuscule, Gerlach said.
Mount St. Helens produces between 500 and 1,000 tons a day of carbon dioxide, he estimates.
Nothstein, of the state energy office, says the Centralia coal plant puts out about 28,000 tons a day. Statewide, automobiles, industries, and residential and business heating systems emit nearly 10 times that amount.
On a global scale, the difference is even more dramatic, said Gerlach, who often gets calls from power-plant operators and oil-company executives who believe nature is just as responsible for global warming as man. His answer always disappoints them.
"I tell them the amounts don't even come close and I usually never hear from them again."
Worldwide, people and their activities pump 26 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, he said. The total from volcanoes is about 200 million tons a year — or less than 1 percent of the man-made emissions.
x2, i just dont see how that can be a bad thing?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gifeven if it is a hoax or whatever, I still believe cars should be more gas friendly and we should invest more money in renewable resources. Because personally Im tired of the middle eastern countries playing with our money. I say invest in solar power so we can be gas free, and hell they have cars that run off vegetable oil. So WTF the deal is? old habits.....by they way in Saudi, 1 in 10 people make over 100,000 a year... I wonder why??

Record highs every year isnt gradual?
Go look at the temperatures in your area 100 years ago, average temps and see what you come up with, then see what its been this year. Also, check rain stats as well. I dont know if it will prove me wrong or not, but i have a feeling your average is quite a bit higher now then it was then.
