air bag suspension

anyone have a site i can host on? got some vid of my friend draggin with his truck(albeit we had to bolt bolts to his bumper to throw sparks.... it does it very well)

also got video of him doing a one wheel burnout... and you can see the tire in the bed while the smoke develops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

only reason we had to use bolts is because the bad brackets smush together onto the bag basically which doesnt allow him to drag... we found this out after we installed 2 inch blocks in hopes of doing this would put him low enough to drag his rear bumper... but then we found out once we were done that even before the 2inch blocks that the bags were already as low as they could go should be getting spindles next week and a 2 link next month so he can really drag frame instead of bolts on his rear bumper

supa_c i've got a vid someone on my HD somewhere with a full size suburban jumping about 2-3 feet in the air... dled from some site... do a search and you should be able to find some videos

*edit* found the vid and watched it.... probably about 6 inches if all 4's off the ground and probably foot and 1/2 if just the front end

My friend had a bagged reg. cab s10. He stripped it out because he cracked his frame while draggin down the highway, and he said he would sell me his whole airbag setup for $650.

It comes with 4 firstone bags, 2 450 Viair compressors, 6 valves, lines, 7gal tank and even the 4 link.

The guy sounds legit and hes a friend of one of my friends. I just dont know because 650 sounds kinda low. But since you know a lot about bags, I was wondering if I should take him on this deal before someone else does.

Is there anything that I should ask him, he said he would test everything in front of me, but I dont know a lot about bags because I have never used, seen them off a car, or dealt with them.

I have a 2000 blazer with a a 3/4 drop on it now, 2inch spindles, 1 inch springs in the front and 4 inch blocks. I was looking into getting new leafs springs also.

Thanks alot, again I would appreciate anything that you could tell me.

does sound like a deal that is too good to be true... but sometimes those deals are true... and often times you hear of them from friends and wish you yourself could land deals like it...

make sure the bags aren't cracked anywhere on there(know what a dry rotted tire looks like?) make sure all the valves work... and you'll probably have to buy new line to route it on your truck since his is a truck and yours is the suv version... maybe you will maybe not... good idea to do it though

compressors- make sure they work(duh) and feel like they both put out the same amount of air and don't make any weird noises and don't look in to bad of shape, same as the tank, look for rust spots and or chipped paint that will cause rust spots... you don't want the tank to rust and explode

4-link... make sure the bars aren't bent or rusted either, and that it still feels pretty solid and looks solid too...

that's what i think you should look for... could be missing something so you might want to wait for furthe advice.... if the deal goes through and everything is in decent condition then you got a pretty good deal... still need a few items but that will get your kit started

im over iand got a 99 s10 bagged... there's a great shop here in pa that does work on some trucks that were featured in sport truck and mini truckin called emenheiser's auto body in red lion. they're somewhat expensive but they do amazing work, from stock floor body drops to ******* doors to bagging. they own. but yeah, the bags on my truck are the shit. make sure bags get installed right or it's a pain in the ***. no matter what though, you'll always have something go wrong haha. im gettin an engine driven compressor soon and eventually gettin my body drop. it's gonna be the shit!

for all your baggin needs, hit up jason at suicidedoors.com. that man has the best prices and the quality equipment!

if you want work done locally in the york PA area, I do work for cheaper than most shops, because its not my main job. Emenheisers is way to high in price. so hit me up if your interested. i do all of the above plus more! and have great hookups on parts, jason is a nice guy, so is james from jpkustoms.

i have a lot of contacts and if your interested were doing a cruise to greenville mississippi for showfest in may with about 30 trucks all together. a good system install should have no problems. other than basic maitenence and wear and tear. air suspension is still not perfected.

bobo244 i pmed you

okay, i didnt read the thread at all, but u need either cans/or struts. depending if its mcpherson strut or not up front, u may need swivel mounts. reason being mcpherson puts so much pressure on the angles of motion, it will rip your shit to hell. i would run no more than 3/8 on a lude because well...thats pretty fast (im gunna run half inch, its sitting behind me) but its on a truck so. i would try to use air struts if possible, but at 800+ a piece, they get expensive. therfore a kit of cans and everything to run should be around 1500-2500. u get what u pay for and stay away from chassis tech. if u need any help, let me know. oh....dont hit sides without a 4 link either.

one thing to remember...if u didnt know, blazer frames drop at an angle at the rear axle. u need a special notch (jason makes it) to lay out fully.

my town car has never bottomed out. Rides wonderful. I will probably get a fast bag kit when the stock ones quit working or I get money(whichever comes first). get either 3/8" or 1/2" fast valves w/ a 5-gal tank.

honestly if u can afford it, figure out how to run a york compressor of an old chrysler for a engine driven compressor, and run 3 five gallon tanks. 5 gallons will give little to no "play time". i think with half inch at 150 psi its .....2 up 2 down, refill. so ....keep in mind that the more air u have, the better play time.

yea. I wasn't sure though all the room he had so I just kinda through the basic first step for a tank out there. If I was to replace the bags I would run 2 or 3 tanks. I like to play w/ my suspensions.
