AIM screenames

Hey, I have a little problem. As some of you may know, my screenname on AIM was tommyk90. Also, my screenname on AOL was the same thing. My mom cancelled the AOL account and it took away my AIM name too. The message it gave me said the name was suspended. Anybody ever have this happen to them? I lost my buddy list and i'm really pissed. Is there any way to get my original screenname back?

idea:

get one of those aim discs from walmart or something, because they're free (you get a certain amount of hours for 45 days.) then sign up under your name again, save the buddy list, get rid of the service, and open your AIM and load the buddy list. If you don't wanna do that, goto http://www.aim.com or http://www.aol.com for a FAQ page, maybe they have it on the site.

Well, i got all the names back that i can possibly remember, so i think i'm set. It just pisses me off that they cancelled my AIM account too. That was a good screenname dammit. I just gotta IM everybody with my new SN, what a pain in the ***. The problem wasn't the AIM, it was the AOL, so i don't think getting an AIM disc will work.

have u tried downloading aim and putting your screen name as it was when u had ur aol account try that and put in ur old s/n AND put ur orignal sn in there and see what it does or you could just register that account at http://www.aim.com

I don't know. It said it was suspended so maybe i'll be able to get it back. But the message it sent me is that when an AOL account is cancelled that it cancels the AIM account of the same screenname. I sent them an email, maybe they'll answer it.

well i have my aol s/n is wrde333, i tried to do the same s/n on AIM, and it said that it was already taken so i dunno if itl even let me have the same one?
