My new setup getting installed on Friday..

HU - Alpine CDA-9855

K4201 adapter (for ipod)

Amp1- Alpine MRV-F345 75 watts 4ohms. This will be powering some T152 Fosgate component speakers as well as 2 Frasier 2way speakers in the back. Dynamate around all 4 of these..

Amp2- Alpine MRD-M1005 1000 watts mono

I thought you could plug all these amps and ipod directly into this HU for control etc. Is there another interface I must purchase which sits between to send the AMP info etc. to the HU. I would like to be able to control everything from one location if possible. I dont want to spend another 250 bucks or whatever the device costs however.

Thank you for your help in advance!!

Didn't know an adapter was needed to adjust the amp settings from the HU... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I'm considering the exact same setup, 9855, amp and the iPod adapter. Please post a review and some pics and let us know how you like it when it's installed!

yep yep.. Also I believe.. But am not SURE.. there is only one input on the back of the 9855 so I dont know if I need a second simple Y adapter on the back of the HU to connect the Ipod link and Amp Link. I know there is a simple Y adapter that they are going to order for me to connect the two amps thru one Amp link unit. One Amp link unit can support 8 subs.

KCE-510M (Amplifier Link)

I will try to get pics up when I get it back. Its going to be a busy time.. I am not adding the link until next month when I decide if I want to add a second Type R etc. But I will definitly get them up when I have it done!

Sorry for the late reply, but in order to hook up your alpine amps, you need to buy an Amplifier Link cable. My main amp doesn't have amplink, only the mono amp.I *DO* know that the 9855 uses a diff connector to go with the new 05 Amps, so my MRD-M501 doesn't plug into it or something like that... theres a diff cable for it (ends in 511 not 510)

I know the 05 decks have a different plug on the HU side. I haven't seen one on the amp side. It leads me to believe that they are (I just checked Crutchfield, it's a different looking plug for the new amp models... less pins)
