No way man i hooked it up i get no more distortion the sounds actually pound now and the amp actually turns on when i turn the car on the jensen had to wait cause it was underpowering so much so no it's not i think they under rate there specs cause this system pounds i hit 125.4 on a Three 6 Mafia song i know not crazy insane db but i like it sounds great
