After market head units for an '04 RX-8??

I have a friend that has an '04 RX-8, and she want to put an after market head unit in it. Well after searching around (crutchfield, etc.) theres nothing can be used?!?!?!?! Is there not anything that can be used in this car??

Upload a pic of the Dash so they can get an idea.

Basically the problem with the radio in those cars is that the AC controls are integrated into the stock headunit all as one piece and its like the side of a double din and a half or more.

Good news, and bad news.

yeah, you can do this a couple of ways.

(*uses stock hu)

i'll go from cheapest to the most expensive. (and give you some other possible options)

1. cheap fm adaptor*- 20-30 bucks

2. harmon kardon adaptor* 150-200 bucks

3. cheap hu + ipod adaptor for that hu in glove box - 200-240 bucks

4. rockford fosgate 3sixty.1 w/ auxilery* - 270 bucks

5. rockford fosgate 3sixty.2 w/ auxilery* + eq - 450 bucks

6. alpine vehicle hub pro w/direct ipod connect* - 470-500 bucks (best option imo)

7. dash kit + head unit - 480+ bucks

8. car pc with itunes + lcd screen - 600+ bucks
