Aeros arent gonna work out

If your just tuning in, Go to post #5. I am porb going to slot port.

After fabing the templates up ny aeros arent gonna be able to fit.

The flares are just too daamn big to fire all 3 4"ers off the same side. I think I am gonna have to scrap the aeros and go for reg ole round ports.

Here was my idea.

I can still fit the 4 inch round pvc with ease. I want to fire all 3 to the drivers side.

Can I fore 2 aeros to the driver and one to the pass? Not sure how this would sound. Or what about putting just 1 4" on each side of the box? That might not be enough port though.

Give me some ideas.

are you talking the outer flare that you mount? in some cases i've trimmed the plastic edges to accomodate them in tight spaces... could you do that?

Its just not gonna fit. I overlapped them by an inch each and it isnt enough. My side piec would have to be 3 seperate pieces. There just isnt enough space. Sadly I will be stuck with either 2 4" aeros or have to split the 3 up or go with 4 reg ole round ports.

why not just do one 6" aero? iirc its a tad bigger than two 4's and probably have better airflow.

Well I will have to order them and I dont have the interior room for a 6 inch because of the hump in the middle of the box.

I have thought about just doing an internal slot. They will eat up about the same airspace as the round. Here is the idea.

Do you think it will be ok. I figures a 4" tall by 12" wide and 17 long to 32HZ

or I could go 5X12 and get around 21 long for around 33.2HZ.

Still not sure if that is enough port area to make these sound good.

I am leaning toward the 5". I will loose a litle more airspace but having more port space it ought to be ok. I only need 1 per sub and I have almost 5 before the port and after DD.

give it a try, 60sq in is better than 48, and that would be like having 5 aero's (60sq in)...

I think I will go with the 5" wide slot. That will get the end of the port past the mag and closer to the middle of the box where the subs are seperated.
